Pavement Marking Contract Specialist II

Pavement Marking Contract Specialist II Summary: The Pavement Marking Contract Specialist II will be responsible for helping manage Pavement Marking projects from start to finish. Strong organizational skills to help maintain various reports and support daily operations. Ability to collaborate with the estimating department to prepare bid packages, compile pricing and submit bids. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare documents for Pavement Marking division outgoing bids.
  • Organize required documentation to successfully submit bids as a general contractor or sub-contractor.
  • Assist Estimating Department with gathering pricing for all Pavement Marking components of a bid.
  • Assist with yearly prequalification process to become a Prime Contractor.
  • Set up project reconciliations and all pertaining contract management workbooks.
  • Manage documentation of all Pavement Marking projects from start to finish.
    • Includes tracking quantities, invoicing, submitting necessary material certifications, completing waiver requests, applying payments and closing out projects by agreeing to final quantities and providing necessary documentation.
  • Assist with collections on all Pavement Marking contracts.
  • Continue integration efforts and support of companywide ERP implementation for Contracts upgrade.
  • Other projects and initiatives that drive organizational goals and results.

Education, Certifications & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Advanced degree or Certification preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years business, office and/or contracts experience required.
  • Prior experience working in the traffic or construction field a plus but not required.
  • Above average knowledge of MS Office.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Prior experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated with a high sense of urgency.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.

  • Position will work in an office setting but may travel to off-site locations and therefore require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, safety vest and/or steel toed footwear.
