OverviewPayment Auditor -Fully remoteJoin Our Team as a Payment Auditor!Are you detail-oriented analytical and motivated by ensuring accuracy in financial processes Were looking for a talented Payment Auditor to help us strengthen our revenue integrity and ensure were paid correctly for the care we provide.In this role youll dive into insurance claims to identify incorrect payments and uncover opportunities for recovery. And we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and Resolving Incorrectly Paid ClaimsReview accounts to identify payments that do not align with contracted payor terms.Monitor Epic workqueues to flag discrepancies and ensure timely follow-up.Analyze regular reports to detect potential underpayments and trends.Document all identified underpayments thoroughly within Epic.Collaborate with payor contracting teams and payors directly to recover underpaid amounts tracking and communicating results to management.Serve as a knowledgeable resource for reimbursement questions and payment terms across patient populations.QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or GED.ExperienceRequires 3 years health care experience or comparable education and experience.Knowledge of medical billing and terminology required.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in use of report writing software. Able to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data.
