Given the regulatory and financial risk involved, hands-on expertise with federal and Louisiana payroll requirements is essential.The Must-Have Requirements3+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist.Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.Preparation and processing of W-2s and 1099sFiling and compliance with IRS Forms 940 and 941Louisiana withholding tax processing and reportingReconciliation of state withholding tax accountsState unemployment tax administrationProcessing child support and wage garnishmentsWorkers' compensation payroll coordinationAdministration of 401(k) and pension plan deductionsPayroll deductions and coordination for group health insuranceProficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.The Good Stuff For Payroll Clerk ProsGood Pay.
