Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $55,000-$60,000/yrWe are hiring for a full-service commercial construction/general contracting company in Washington, PA seeking a skilled, independent Payroll Clerk/HR Admin to take ownership of our weekly payroll operations and basic HR functions. This role is ideal for someone who understands the unique demands of the construction field and is comfortable managing a high volume of activity with accuracy and confidentiality.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit weekly payroll to Paychex each Tuesday; verify and release pay for Friday distributionManage certified payroll for all applicable jobsProcess both union and non-union payrolls and ensure accurate rate and fringe applicationMaintain Excel-based field reports and upload data into the payroll systemConfirm payroll information integrates properly within two software systemsHandle benefits administration and updatesCoordinate onboarding for new employees, including weeks with high hiring volumeProduce payroll-related reports for accounting and tax useManually import payroll information into the accounting system when requiredSupport accounting staff with data entry tasks, including credit card payment processingRequired Background35 years of payroll and HR-related experienceStrong knowledge of certified payrollExperience working with union and non-union payrollBachelors degree not requiredAbility to work onsite in Washington, PAPreferred ExperiencePaychex experience, or familiarity with comparable payroll softwareHands-on experience in the construction industryPrior involvement in new-hire onboarding
