Talented Payroll Specialist!

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing end-to-end weekly payroll processing and ensuring compliance with various prevailing wage laws. This role involves a mix of payroll processing and administrative tasks within a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end weekly payroll, including timecard validation, batch posting, and check printing.
• Utilize Viewpoint Vista and HCSS HeavyJob for payroll and equipment entry.
• Track and report fringe benefits, deductions, and union contributions.
• Process weekly tax payments, garnishments, and payroll-related documentation.
• Perform front desk duties, including handling phones, filing, and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain office supplies and support document preparation.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience; construction industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel with the ability to use pivot tables and perform data analysis.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll, prevailing wage, and certified payroll (LCP Tracker).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight weekly deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

You will have your own glass-enclosed office with a river view. The office features a full kitchen and a large covered deck with seating and a BBQ. An office dog, present three days a week, adds to the friendly atmosphere. Flexibility in working hours is offered from Tuesday to Thursday, while Mondays and Fridays are deadline-driven.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr.
