PCBA Rework Operator

We're seeking a PCBA Rework Operator- Placement to work at a premier manufacturing client in West Melbourne, FL. With us, it's all about finding the job that's just right.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22+/hr, based on experience

Shift: 7am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday

What's a typical day as PCBA Rework Operator- Placement? You'll be:

  • Performing rework, repair, and modifications on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) by hand or at a rework station, following assembly procedures and visual aids
  • Inspecting and verifying integrity of materials to be assembled
  • Working with electronic components (resistors, capacitors, connectors, sockets, etc.) and identifying/replacing damaged or faulty parts
  • Conducting advanced soldering, stuffing, and mechanical assembly tasks, including adding wires per engineering change orders or schematics
  • Removing and replacing components using de-soldering tools, soldering irons, and repairing board etches, pads, and vias with advanced techniques
  • Handling removal/replacement of BGAs, utilizing solder wick and epoxy, and pre-forming component leads to IPC standards
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and maintaining ESD integrity within the production environment
  • Training other employees and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
  • Following schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions to repair/rework/modify assemblies and sub-assemblies

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Possess current IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 certifications (must have)
  • Have 5+ years of experience in electronics assembly and soldering of PCBs in rework and inspection
  • Are familiar with advanced de-soldering, soldering, and repair techniques
  • Demonstrate knowledge of component value identification, nomenclature, and ISO9001/ISO 13485 standards
  • Have completed ESD training and can read test procedures, schematics, and follow verbal/written instructions
  • Are a US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or those granted amnesty required for ITAR-controlled work)
  • Are willing to work flexible hours as business needs require
  • Are experienced in high-volume production environments
