This is a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated asset management mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions with a particular emphasis on GP stakes deals alongside an elite team representing leading private equity sponsors institutional investors and asset managers. The role offers broad exposure to high-value transactions spanning mergers and acquisitions leveraged recapitalizations growth equity and venture capital investments and equity compensation matters.Candidate ProfileJDfrom atop-tier law schoolwith a strong academic recordActive Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction in good standing or eligibility to obtain admission promptly3 years of substantive experience in private equity transactions with strong asset management M&A expertiseGP stakes experience strongly preferredBroad background in corporate and transactional work including M&A leveraged recapitalizations growth equity venture capital transactions exits and equity compensationPrior experience at an AmLaw 100 or similarly sophisticated firm preferredDemonstrated ability to work both collaboratively within deal teams and independently manage key transaction componentsStrong business acumen client management skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent drafting negotiation and communication skills with a proactive detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environmentKey ResponsibilitiesLead and support asset management M&A transactions including GP stakes deals for private equity sponsors institutional investors and asset managersDraft review and negotiate transaction agreements equity documentation and ancillary contractsManage and execute deal workstreams from structuring through closing ensuring alignment with client objectives and deadlinesCoordinate due diligence processes and oversee contributions from cross-practice specialistsProvide strategic business-focused solutions to complex transactional challenges in collaboration with partners associates and clientsWhy Join UsThis is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading Private Equity practice within a highly respected global law firm.
