Pediatric Gastroenterology Physician - Springfield, IL A growing academic medical center in Springfield, IL is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterology Physician to join its busy and collaborative department. This role offers a mix of clinical and academic responsibilities (80% clinical / 20% academic) across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach care.Clinical Focus & Responsibilities:General pediatric gastroenterology with flexibility to develop subspecialty interestsProcedures include EGD, colonoscopy, foreign body removal, and management of inflammatory bowel diseaseClinic volume: 5-6 patients per half-day; 1 procedure dayCall: 10-12 days per month, mostly remote with 30-minute response time; one weekend per monthOutreach clinic currently serving Decatur (1-2 day per month)Academic & Teaching Opportunities:Work with medical students, pediatric residentsResearch opportunities and academic rank advancement availableTeam & Support:Collaborative interdisciplinary team including nurses, dietitians, NPs, and social workersAffiliated with a children's hospitalFull patient panel from a busy service lineCandidate Requirements:Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric GastroenterologyCompletion of a U.S.-based residency program; international graduates welcomeJ-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available
