DescriptionThe Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health Hospitals/Elmhurst and Queens is seeking a full time Pediatric Physiatrist. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban ethnically diverse underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic hospital are both easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City New Jersey and Long Island.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will join our pediatric faculty and provide services to our ambulatory patients as well as provide inpatient consults to our neonates at both hospitals. The position will sit operationally within both Pediatric departments but be appointed in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which is a joint department across both hospitals.The selected candidate will have the following clinical responsibilities:Two to three days per week of ambulatory sessions at ElmhurstHospital CenterInpatient consults in the Level 3 NICU at ElmhurstOne to two days per week of ambulatory sessions at Queens Hospital CenterInpatient consults in the Level 3 NICU at QueensTeaching of residents and medical studentsQualificationsMD/DO degreeBoard eligible or certified in PsychiatryFellowship trained Pediatric PhysiatristValid New York State License DEA and Medicaid numberCompensationWe offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials experience and qualifications. The salary for this position is $210000 plus benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
