Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine in Coastal Charleston, SCThe Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking an energetic and talented BC/BE pediatric pulmonologist to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, and Immunology within its nationally recognized Department of Pediatrics in coastal Charleston, SC. Qualified pediatric pulmonologists will enjoy a rewarding and diverse career that includes clinical care, involvement in leading-edge research, and the education of future leaders in pediatric care. Ideal Candidates:Board certified or board eligible Pediatric PulmonologistCommitted to MUSC’s educational missions and enthusiastic about teachingProven leadership and interpersonal skills, with interest in program development opportunitiesThe Division of Pediatric Pulmonology’s Comprehensive Cystic Fibrosis Center is fully accredited by the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and includes both Pediatric and Adult Programs. These programs deliver the highest quality, multidisciplinary care to patients with CF across the state. At the Pediatric CF Clinic, patients are cared for by a dedicated, collaborative team that includes pediatric pulmonologists, nurses, a nutritionist, social worker, respiratory therapist, genetic counselor, and pharmacist.Additionally, the Division’s Aerodigestive Clinic is committed to improving outcomes for children with complex needs, including those who are tracheostomy- and ventilator-dependent. This program thrives on strong interdisciplinary collaboration among specialists in Pediatric Pulmonology, Otolaryngology (ENT), Gastroenterology, and Speech-Language Pathology.In 2020, MUSC Children’s Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women’s Pavilion, a 100,000 square foot, 250-bed, state-of-the-art building that is transforming the delivery of fetal, women’s and children’s care in the region. Supporting the outstanding clinical care at our Children’s Hospital and Women’s Pavilion is the Charles P. Darby Children’s Research Institute, the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas, and one of only 15 like it in the country.Supporting the stand-alone Children’s Hospital is the Summey Medical Pavilion which is a Children’s dedicated outpatient medical building that offers specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, infusion, labs, pharmacy, and urgent care all in one location.
