Job Description

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Childrens Hospital of Michigan is seeking three highly skilled and motivated pediatric gastroenterologists to join our dynamic team. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to children and adolescents while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Opportunity Details:

  • Deliver outstanding outpatient and inpatient care, including performing endoscopic procedures.
  • Engage in general pediatric gastroenterology activities at our main campus and satellite clinics in the Metro Detroit area.
  • Actively participate in teaching GI Fellows, Residents, and medical students.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board Certified/eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Strong interest in or additional training in advanced endoscopy, motility disorders, and nutrition is preferred.
  • Eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan

About the Division:

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition consists of a dedicated team of professionals, including six board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists, one board-certified pediatric hepatologist, three nurse practitioners, five clinical nurses, and two dietitians. Our division takes pride in its ACGME-accredited fellowship program, which admits one fellow per year.

The Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Program at Children's Hospital of Michigan is consistently recognized as one of America's best in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for Pediatric Gastroenterology and GI Surgery Programs. Our division offers state-of-the-art technology for a wide range of procedures, including endoscopy, breath hydrogen tests, pH/impedance monitoring, capsule endoscopy, percutaneous gastrostomy tube placement, variceal banding, and sclerotherapy. Additionally, we provide comprehensive motility studies, such as esophageal and anorectal manometry. Endoscopic procedures are performed at our main campus and at Childrens Hospital of Michigan - Troy. Our division collaborates with various interdisciplinary programs, including the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program, Aerodigestive Disease Clinic, Intestinal Rehabilitation Clinic, and Pediatric Liver Disease and Transplant Program.
