JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a high-performing, collaborative neonatology team dedicated to clinical excellence, transparency, and family-centered care. Practice at the top of your license as a Neonatal Hospitalist (Level II Focus), leading care delivery alongside experienced Neonatologists.

Solara Neonatal, part of Women’s Health Arizona, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Pediatricians to join our growing team as Neonatal Hospitalists, with a primary focus in Level II NICUs and well-baby nurseries.

This role is ideal for pediatric hospitalists who enjoy neonatal care, delivery attendance, and frontline stabilization, while working within a highly collaborative, well-supported system.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for neonates ≥32 weeks gestation in Level II NICU settings
  • Attend high-risk and routine deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
  • Manage common neonatal conditions such as respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, feeding difficulties, jaundice, and infection evaluation
  • Serve as the attending physician responsible for daily patient management, admissions, and discharges
  • Supported by Neonatologists for consultation, escalation, and transfer of higher-acuity or <32-week infants
  • Support care in the well-baby nursery, including newborn assessments and parental counseling
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and protocol development initiatives
  • Contribute to a culture of education, mentorship, and continuous learning across the care team
