Job Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is recruiting outstanding faculty to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health Dallas.

The Division provides comprehensive care through robust inpatient and outpatient programs, offering faculty opportunities to work in a collaborative, academic environment with a broad range of clinical, educational, and research activities.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inpatient coverage at Children’s Health Dallas
  • Consultations from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, tertiary-level NICU, and general/subspecialty services
  • Supporting one of the largest Cystic Fibrosis Centers in the nation

  • Outpatient clinics in areas such as high-risk asthma, aerodigestive disorders, sickle cell disease, neuromuscular disease, primary ciliary dyskinesia, mechanical ventilation, and general pulmonology

  • Active participation in a comprehensive sleep program that includes a 24-bed sleep center across two campuses
  • Engagement in the education of residents, fellows, medical students, and nursing staff
  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Pulmonology

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Texas

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and academic achievement

  • Additional training in Sleep Medicine is available. Interest or training in rare lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, or bronchopulmonary dysplasia is highly desirable. Candidates with experience in basic, clinical, or translational research will find excellent resources and support for their scholarly work.
