Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Peer Support Specialist to join our Jail Diversion Program team. This role is dedicated to providing recovery-oriented support services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system, with a focus on those currently in Patrick County. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will offer outreach, advocacy, and peer support to help individuals access behavioral health treatment, recovery supports, and essential community resources. Your lived experience with recovery will be an invaluable asset in building trust and promoting hope for those navigating their own recovery journey. This position is an integral part of the Clinical Services Division at PCS, and plays a critical role in the continuum of care for individuals with substance use disorders. You will work closely with jail staff and community partners to support program participants in achieving stability and improving their overall quality of life. Salary is commensurate with education and experience as it relates to the position.Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
