Job Description

Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to join their team! This position is located in New York, New York.Duties:Perform accounting for mortgage loan investments and service a portfolio of loans, including recording a variety of journal entries such as: acquisitions, dispositions, collections, disbursements, adjustments, etc.Perform various ad-hoc loan tasks/inquiries such as: billing, escrow analysis, escrow payments, payment history and adjustable-rate settingsSupport financial and investment reporting, including STAT and TAX reporting and participate in projects as requiredExecute assignments according to company and department procedures, controls, and systems, and incorporate decision making in work related to operational requestsPrepare, gather, analyze, build, organize, and review reporting for various requests and inquiriesPrepare reporting assignments and ensure that workpaper referencing support is clearly documentedAssist with special projects and research workDesired Skills/Experience:Bachelors Degree concentrated in accounting, business, and/or computer science is preferred, but other degrees will be considered3+ years of experience in loan servicing of commercial mortgage loansConstruction loan experience is a plusHigh proficiency in Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of Qlik Sense, Business Objects, Crystal Report Writer, and Microsoft SQL Server technology to create SQL queries is a plusMust maintain strong organizational skills, effective communication skills, and be a team playerIdeal candidate is a self-starter, can work independently, possesses good listening skills, and is willing to learnAccountable for all work contributions and provides informal guidance to others as neededStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to analyze issues and propose solutions using education, experience, judgment, and established precedentsBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance PlansEmployee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP)401K offeredThe approximate pay range for this position is between $20.78 and $29.71. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
