Learn more at .PAY RATE: $74014.50 - $77910 Per YearBENEFITS: VOALA offers competitive medical dental vision and retirement benefits.JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSEThe People Relations Partner Associate II assists the HR team by providing the support necessary to maintain daily employee relations needs as well as employee relations project support as VOALA continues its growth. This is a hands-on position that will be primarily involved in front-line interaction with program managers and staff in communications coaching and relationship building. This is an individual contributor role.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInteracting with employees and managers in assigned programs to assist with questions and policy clarification; makes on-site visits to program sites to provide face-to-face HR availability to employees in the work environmentConducting workplace interviews and address employee concerns; serve as a liaison between program staff and the HR departmentAssist with compliance and program auditsSupport the employee relations team with investigations written warnings and documentationConducts basic investigations applying the verification and resolution of facts and issues in matters affecting disciplinary actions grievances appeals and complaints refers complex matters to HR Employee Relations Specialist or Senior Manager of Employee Relations as requiredParticipates in training employees and managers in HR Policy Compliance and best practicesIs a resource for HR Service teamESSENTIAL DUTIESProvide employee relations support for assigned programs answer questions clarify policy make on-site visits to provide support in the workplace.Perform workplace interviews and address employee concerns; serve as a liaison between program staff and the HR department.Assist compliance and program auditsSupport the employee relations team with investigations written warnings and documentation conducts limited investigationsReview documentation to ensure it is complete and organizedOther duties as required and is subject to change at any time.ESSENTIAL DUTIESProvide employee relations support for assigned programs answer questions clarify policy make on-site visits to provide support in the workplace.Perform workplace interviews and address employee concerns; serve as a liaison between program staff and the HR department.Assist compliance and program auditsSupport the employee relations team with investigations written warnings and documentation conducts limited investigationsReview documentation to ensure it is complete and organizedOther duties as required and is subject to change at any time.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance background check including criminal history personal references employment and education verificationsValid California driver license and access to dependable transportation with adequate insuranceEDUCATION:Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (4 years of relevant experience / coursework)EXPERIENCE:Minimum two years of HR generalist work with 20% dedicated time committed to handling employee complaints grievances interactive processes and disciplinary actions.Familiarity with case managing this type of work.Experience with completing reports about the resolution of these issuesKnowledge of California employment regulationsFamiliar with employment legal mattersPreferred PHR-ca or SHRM-CP PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of Experience in Employee RelationsProfessional level human resources and/or employee relations experience in large complex organizationsExperience with Ulti-Pro a plusBilingual (Spanish)Volunteers of America is an Equal Opportunity employer.
