10 Points is urgently hiring for Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional for classroom assistance assigned specifically to a student or group of students who regularly need one-on-one assistance to maintain appropriate and equitable participation in the school setting. The PCA directly supports the students at the direction of the teacher and is under the general supervision the Special Education and Pupil Services Department.. This is a full-time 8 hours day job starting asap. We are actively interviewing for this position please call us at OR e-mail for more information.Job Responsibilities: Helps prepare collect and set-up materials for student participation following teacher direction Provides instructional behavioral or physical assistance to students individually or in small groups at the direction of the teacher to reinforce and follow up instruction Assists with such large group activities as drill work reading aloud and storytelling Maintains daily activity logs for your assigned student (s) Alerts regular teacher to any problem or special information about the individual student(s) Serves as the chief source of information for the assigned students to help any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of teachers Operates and or assists in the use of student mobility devices such as but not limited to walker wheelchair braces canes etc. Assists students in self-care as assigned by teacher Performs other related duties as assigned Education & Qualifications: 1 years of working experience as a Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional.
