Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Personal Health Insurance Advisor to help individuals and families understand, evaluate, and enroll in health insurance plans that best meet their needs and budgets. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people make informed healthcare coverage decisions, has strong communication skills, and can navigate complex insurance products with confidence and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to assess their healthcare coverage needs, financial considerations, and eligibility requirements.
- Educate clients on available health insurance options, including individual, family, Medicare, supplemental, dental, and vision plans.
- Explain policy features, benefits, exclusions, deductibles, copays, and premiums in clear, easy-to-understand language.
- Assist clients with plan comparisons, enrollment applications, renewals, and policy updates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance regulations, carrier offerings, and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Follow all compliance, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Document client interactions and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and internal teams to resolve client inquiries and coverage issues.
- Meet or exceed sales, retention, and customer satisfaction goals.
Required Qualifications
- Active Health Insurance License
- Previous experience in health insurance, benefits consulting, customer service, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear and professional manner.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to client advocacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ACA Marketplace plans, Medicare, Medicaid, or supplemental health products.
- Proven track record in consultative sales or client advisory roles.
- Knowledge of healthcare and insurance regulations.
