_*Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal *_Deming & Parker, LLC has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal for our Atlanta location. This position is in our Personal Injury group and will support three partners and one associate attorney and work with other paralegals and legal assistants, in a fast-paced, paper heavy environment. We are seeking candidates who have experience working in Georgia Personal Injury. *Minimum of 5 years of Georgia Personal Injury litigation experience and a paralegal certification, or 8 years of relevant experience required.**This position requires an in-person interview and is not a remote position.**Candidates must complete a background and reference check and pass a drug screen prior to starting.* Salary is commensurate with experience. Health insurance and benefits are available.Duties include but are not limited to:* Managing multiple client case files* Opening client files and initiating claims* Calendaring deadlines, scheduling various appointments* Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage* Ordering medical records* Preparing demand packages* Drafting and filing Complaints and initial Discovery* Serving parties* Drafting and filing various pleadings* Answering discovery* Correspondence with the Court and opposing parties* Scheduling depositions/mediations* Legal research* Keeping clients informed of case progress* Preparing settlement documents* Negotiating liens and subrogation claims* Client, medical provider, insurance adjuster and attorney contact* Various other administrative duties as they ariseThe ideal candidate :* Excellent computer and telephone skills* Technical and detail oriented* Ability to handle existing case load and perform multiple tasks with minimal instruction and supervision* Working cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement/judgment* Knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures* Excellent communications skills* Time management and organizational skills* Experience in Georgia Workers' Compensation a plus* Bi-lingual a plus* Experience with Clio or similar document management system a plus* Notary Public licenseWe are committed to providing equal opportunity for all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, political affiliation, personal appearance, family responsibilities, matriculation or any other characteristic protected under federal, state or local law.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* Please indicate you understand you will have to pass a drug screening upon hire.Experience:* Georgia Litigation: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:* Georgia Notary License or willing to obtain (Required)Ability to Commute:* Atlanta, GA 30345 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Atlanta, GA 30345: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
