Job Summary

We are seeking a candidate with at least 1 year of personal injury paralegal experience who can step in and contribute right away. This position is in person and located in Fairfax, VA.
Job Duties
As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you'll play a key role in moving cases forward and supporting our attorneys from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating with clients, insurance companies, and other professionals
- Opening and closing cases in our case management system
- Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, demand letters, discovery, and correspondence
- Preparing demand packages for attorney review
- Organizing case files
- Reviewing medical records and bills for accuracy and coordinating follow-ups
- Filing pleadings with court clerks
- Conducting legal research and investigating case facts
- Supporting attorneys with case strategy and preparation
This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines will make a real impact.
Knowledge & Basic Qualifications
- Should have at least 1 year of personal injury paralegal or law firm experience
- Associate's Degree or equivalent required
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills-you're the person who keeps lists and ensures everything is moving forward
- Excellent written and verbal communication-you're comfortable on the phone, whether making calls or answering them, and you speak up when something doesn't look right
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems, including case management software to track case progress and report on status
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A kind and empathetic approach-our clients are often going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we aim to make things better, not worse
