Department:ICE PTSL OPC PharmacistsDepartments Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Pharmacist I works under minimal supervision to assess prepare dispense and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner. The pharmacist will use their knowledge skills and clinical judgment through reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. As a pharmacist I will assist with technician and student supervision/direction as it relates to day-to-day dispensing functions tasks and job duties to provide timely and efficient patient services. They will evaluate appropriateness of dose route and formulation allergies medication interactions monitoring etc. The pharmacist will have frequent communication with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care. They will document interventions in the medical record. The pharmacist will work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting.
