Weekend rotation coverage at the Christiana Hospital retail store is this position you will dispense medications; evaluate medication needs and clarify or correct orders with providers and nurses.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain costs and adhere to budget and formulary requirements.Resolve Customer service issues with Christiana Cares core values being the primary focus.Manage supervise and schedule pharmacy staff.Maintain drug stock par levels to ensure drug inventory turnover.Encourage generic and preferred formulary usage while maintaining contract adherence.Receives and interprets physicians medication orders; monitors patient medication profiles to guard against sensitivities contraindications duplications and major drug interactionsAssures the accurate and timely refilling of patient medicationAssures maintenance of patients medication recordsProvide drug information to other health care providers and patients. Consults and advises members of the medical staff on matters relating to specific drug therapy problems; provides drug information and other informational materials to members of the medical and nursing staff; works with medical and/or nursing personnel to resolve problems involving pharmacy servicesCoordinates and supervises work-place activities and resources; promotes professional competence; assures that services rendered and work performed are in accordance with specific standards; advises assists and supervises work of pharmacy technicians; assumes final responsibility for accuracy of their workPrepares special medications involving compounding procedures and sterile products using aseptic techniques when necessaryAssist with training programs of pharmacy interns residents students and technicians; provides information in all pertinent areas of pharmacy practices policies and proceduresEducation and Experience Requirements:Minimum of B.S. in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferredCurrent licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the state of Maryland and DelawareChristianaCare offers:Full Medical Dental Vision and other insurance benefits403 (b) with an employer matchGenerous Paid Time OffIncredible Work/Life benefits including annual membership to access to backup care services for dependents through retirement planning services financial coaching fitness and wellness reimbursement and phenomenal discounts through several vendors for hotels rental cars theme parks shows sporting events movie tickets and much more!If you re inspired to make a difference we invite you to become a ChristianaCare caregiver.Hourly Pay Range: $52.97 - $84.75This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
