The Pharmacy Operations Manager will implement and enforce policies and procedures supervision and training of staff inventory management quality assurance and regulatory addition The Operations Manager shall assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.Essential Functions:Provides management and oversight of pharmacy-related activities within the department and supportive of system-level initiatives involving change and support for pharmaceutical care across the hospitalSelects trains orients and assigns department staff to schedules. Develops standards of performance evaluates performance and initiates recommendations for personnel actionsAssesses and standardizes medication dispensing practices and pharmacy workflows and encourages team member growth and developmentDevelop and actively participate in training and mentorship programs for pharmacists pharmacy students residents technicians nurses and physiciansWork with the Pharmacy Director to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standardsOther duties as assignedEducation:Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required)Advanced pharmacy degree Doctor of Pharmacy Masters Residency (preferred)Licensure/Certification:Pharmacist Licensure State Board of Pharmacy (required)Experience: 3 years of experience in a progressive hospital or healthcare system pharmacy leadership role (preferred) Skills & Abilities:Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position including excellent communication customer service continuous quality improvement relationship development and decision makingPossesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environmentMercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.As a Mercy Health associate youre part of a Misson that matters.
