Support GP Veterinarian providing vet exams diagnostics and prescriptions/refills. Provide excellent customer service to our clients and their pets.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet customers as they enter the clinic.Answer phones as needed as back up to the call center staff.Book appointments.Print admission forms and answer questions about services and pricing.Fill prescriptions.Perform adoptions on cat/kittens in lobby.Clean cat cages in lobby.Keep lobby clean at all times.Keep storage closet organized.Draw blood administer fluids give injections of all types look at specimens under microscope.Monitor equipment and report problems to the Executive Director as they are detectedLaundryMoppingMaintain proper stock of supplies in all areas of the clinicPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsSKILLS REQUIREMENTSBasic Computer SkillsIntermediate mathematical skillsAdvanced organization skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCustomer Service ExperienceWORKING CONDITIONSMust be flexible and willing to work overtime as requiredRegular and predictable attendance is requiredModerate noise / animal kennel atmospherePHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job.Regularly required to talk hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard calculator and telephone.The ability to move about to coordinate work within observation rooms.The ability to stand for long periods of time and in excess of 5 hours. These can contain parasites contagious to humans.
