Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist I to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in specimen collection, handling, and processing, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and patient care. This role involves working with pediatric and geriatric patients and requires attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.Responsibilities:Perform blood draws and other specimen collections (e.g., urine, fecal) following established procedures.^Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients.^Demonstrate proficiency in using straight and butterfly needles.^Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.^Package and store specimens according to required temperature and protocol to maintain integrity.^Record maintenance data and perform decontamination procedures.^Update patient information accurately in the system.^Ensure 100% accuracy in checking test requisitions or computer labels against physician scripts.
