Phlebotomist at Pride Health

Job Title: Phlebotomist (Vascular Access Tech)

Location: Rochester, MN 55905

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mon-Fri and every other weekend rotation)

Duration: 3 Months with a strong possibility of extension

Pay Rate: $23 – $30/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collection using capillary, venous, assisted line, and arterial methods

• Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, handling, and transportation

• Conduct specimen testing using Point of Care (POC) equipment

• Provide phlebotomy services across multiple areas, including inpatient units, pediatrics, ED, ICU, and OR

• Respond appropriately during medical emergencies when required

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to regulatory standards

• Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Graduate of a Phlebotomy training program with clinical rotation OR minimum 3 months of phlebotomy experience

• Ability to work with multiple computer systems and programs

Certification Requirement:

• National Phlebotomy Certification (NHA, ASCP, or equivalent) must be obtained within 14 months of hire
