Performs procedures involving blood collection central receiving/specimen handling and limited technical functions to assist the technologist in performing laboratory analysis.Education and TrainingHigh school graduate or equivalent.Certificate in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant preferred.Six months previous phlebotomy experience AND/OR completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR a Phlebotomy Program.BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and/or transfer.ExperienceSix months previous phlebotomy experience preferred.Other Skills Competencies and QualificationsRequired Course(s)/Skills - Medical terminology.Schedule:Float position with variable hours and locations (Cuyahoga Falls/Tallmadge/Kent/Hudson).
