Through grant funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska we are offering a Phlebotomist Sponsorship Program for individuals ready to take the next step after completing the Workforce Readiness Program.This program covers the cost of Phlebotomy training through Clarkson College and connects participants to full or part time employment at Nebraska Medicine after successful certification.Program Requirements: To qualify you must have completed the five-week Workforce Readiness Program.The course is a three-month self-paced program and includes a 3- week 40-hour externship after coursework is completed. A consistent time commitment is required. Students must be able to meet course and externship schedule expectations to be successful.Whats IncludedParticipants accepted into the program receive:Paid tuition and books ($1899 value)One set of scrubsOngoing guidance and mentorship from Nebraska Medicine leadersFull or part time employment as a Phlebotomist at Nebraska Medicine following certification. (One Year Commitment Required)Applicants should be prepared to provide accurate work and education history and participate in a screening and interview process. Perform evaluate and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment represent the lab in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
