If youre passionate about mentorship workflow coordination and delivering exceptional service wed love to connect with you.Position: Phlebotomist Team LeaderSchedule: 1:00 PM9:00 PM rotating every 3rd weekend (day shift 6:00 AM start)Call: One full week of call every 3rd weekOverview:This opportunity is ideal for an experienced phlebotomist or specimen processing professional who is ready to step into a leadership role. As the Team Leader youll help guide daily operations across phlebotomy and specimen processing ensuring high-quality service efficient workflow and exceptional patient care. Youll serve as a resource for staff support training and development and maintain a smooth organized environment that supports high-volume clinical operations.What Youll DoTraining & DevelopmentTrain coach and mentor new team members on processes policies and technical responsibilities.Maintain and update training records to ensure compliance with laboratory and accrediting standards.Customer ServiceProvide prompt professional support to patients staff and clinical partners.Address concerns and resolve issues quickly to support a positive patient and staff experience.Daily Coordination of WorkOversee day-to-day workflow and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.Assist with scheduling timekeeping review and workload distribution.TroubleshootingInvestigate and resolve specimen or order-related discrepancies.Utilize multiple LIS/EHR systems to validate and supplement patient data.Specimen CollectionPerform blood collection with proper technique and positive patient identification.Meet test-specific timelines to maintain specimen integrity.Specimen Evaluation & ProcessingValidate orders evaluate specimen quality and prepare samples for testing.Ensure all specimens are accurately labeled and processed.Inventory & Supply ManagementMonitor supply levels place orders verify deliveries and maintain documentation.Collaborative BehaviorsDemonstrate professionalism empathy and respect in all interactions.Support a positive team culture and uphold safety accountability and integrity.Communicate clearly professionally and proactively with staff and clinical partners.Engage in continuous improvement efforts streamline workflows and help reduce waste.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2 years of experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing required.Experience in a multi-hospital or complex healthcare environment preferred.Phlebotomy certification required within 6 months of hire.About us:At Lighthouse Lab Services we offer solutions to help start grow and run clinical laboratories.
