Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to build robust secure and high-performing web applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to create scalable back-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with front-end interfaces. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PHP frameworks database systems and a passion for writing clean efficient code. Job Responsibilities Design develop and maintain server-side web applications using PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel Symfony or CodeIgniter. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Develop RESTful APIs for integration with external systems and applications. Write clean reusable and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Debug troubleshoot and optimize application performance. Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL including schema design and query optimization. Implement and maintain security protocols to protect applications and data. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the development team. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements. Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in PHP development and web programming. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of experience in PHP development. Proficiency in PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel Symfony or CodeIgniter. Strong knowledge of relational databases including experience with SQL and query optimization. Experience with front-end technologies like HTML CSS JavaScript and frameworks such as React or Angular. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Google Cloud or Azure. Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD pipelines. Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis. Familiarity with testing frameworks like PHPUnit. Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security. Experience with performance optimization and caching mechanisms. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
