Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Grosse Pointe Woods clinic. As a key member of our organization you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients ensuring their recovery and well-being.Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation resultsAssist in reviewing the physicians referral (prescription) and the patients condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment requiredProvide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist following established protocols and patient care guidelinesDocument findings progress and instructions to patients and caregiversSupport in ensuring patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians meets standardsAssist in completing written plans of care developing goals based on evaluation findings and contributing to comprehensive programs to attain goalsSupport in implementing physical therapy treatment programs and providing essential physical therapy treatmentsCommunicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues including physicians and insurance companies under the guidance of a Physical TherapistAssist in ensuring timely documentation including daily notes weekly workers compensation reports progress reports initial evaluations discharge summaries and incident reportsQualifications : Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programOutpatient experience preferredNew graduates are encouraged to apply wed love for you to start your career with us!Current state of Michigan license and CPR certificationAbility to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans or willingness to learnAbility to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environmentBasic PC skills and knowledge including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system database software and MS OfficeAdditional Information : Salary is based on various factors including relevant experience knowledge skills other job-related qualifications and geography. Additionally this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Companys incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
