Physical Therapist Assistant at Pioneer Healthcare Services
JOB DESCRIPTION
If you're interested in making a significant impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in an Assisted Living setting in Texas, this position might be what you are looking for!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- Active Texas PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) are strongly recommended
- Ability to work effectively in an Assisted Living setting
- Strong communication, time management, and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in an Assisted Living setting
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and patient-centered care
