Our CompanyRehab in MotionOverviewRehab In Motion is growing in New Smyrna Beach FLWho we are looking for:An experienced PTA enthusiastic about empowering clients with strength & independenceYou are familiar with Independent Living Assisted Living Geriatric and/or Outpatient settingsYou value flexibility autonomy and providing personalized one-on-one careWhat you will receive:Flexible Hours- Create your own scheduleClinical AutonomyProvide 1:1 Patient CareCompetitive PayProfessional Growth OpportunitiesSupportive Leadership & Team EnvironmentResponsibilitiesAssisting the Physcial Therapist in the implementation of treatment interventionAdminister therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients; strength mobility and function.Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation and documenting results of the trainingMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsSupporting individuals plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multi-disciplinary team members as appropriateOther duties as assignedQualificationsDegree from an accredited physical therapy assistant training programCurrent Physical Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.Current Live CPR CertificationTwo-step TB skin test requiredProof of Auto InsuranceKnowledge of evidence based therapy interventionsFamiliarity with assisted living independent living geriatrics and/or home healthOne year preferredNew grads encouraged to applyAbility to lift 50 poundsMoving lifting or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety proceduresDuties require fine motor skillsvisual acuityand walking/standing for extended periodsAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling bending/stooping reaching kneeling and positioning frequently at timesA health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter depending on specific location policy local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodationsAbout our Line of BusinessRehab in Motion an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls is devoted to elevating the physical and emotional wellbeing of older adults through physical occupational and speech therapies.
