Location: Stony Brook, New York Open Date: Nov 25, 2025 Deadline: Dec 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description:APP - Inpatient Otolaryngology (ENT) Service Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM The Physician Assistant will serve as an integral member of the inpatient Otolaryngology team, working collaboratively with residents, attending surgeons, and hospital staff to efficiently and effectively manage hospitalized and consult patients. Key Responsibilities:Participate in daily inpatient rounds with residents and attending physicians.Manage inpatient evaluations, post-operative assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMR.Coordinate admissions, discharges, and multidisciplinary communication.Respond to inpatient and ED ENT consults and staff them in coordination with attending physicians.Perform or assist with bedside ENT procedures (flexible laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, epistaxis control, tracheostomy care, abscess drainage, etc.).Provide perioperative support and first-assist in the operating room as needed.Support resident education, teaching procedural skills and inpatient workflows.Participate in quality improvement and departmental initiatives. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Physician Assistant: NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant. Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited school of Physician Assistants. One (1) year of experience with Pediatric patients.
