POLICY ADVISOR - HEALTH POLICY FOCUS Location: Washington, DC Our client, an international Amlaw 50 firm with a renowned Lobbying & Public Policy practice, is seeking an experienced Policy Advisor to join its Health Policy team in the Washington, D.C. office. This role offers a unique opportunity to counsel clients on complex legislative and regulatory issues impacting health care and life sciences, leveraging deep policy expertise and government experience. Candidate ProfileBachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record required JD from a top-tier law school or Master’s degree strongly preferredActive Bar Admission in the District of Columbia (if JD holder) or relevant policy credentials7–10 years of substantive experience in health policy and related legislative and regulatory mattersStrong experience with policy issues and legislation affecting healthcare and life sciencesExperience working on Capitol Hill, ideally with congressional committees of jurisdiction for health policyRelevant executive branch agency experience may substitute for Capitol Hill experienceExcellent understanding of legislative and regulatory processes related to health care and life sciences industriesSuperior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare briefing materials and advocate effectively before senior stakeholdersDemonstrated commitment to collaboration, client service, and the firm’s core values of diversity, innovation, and excellence Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments in health care and life sciencesSupport the development and execution of advocacy strategies before Congress, federal agencies, and advisory bodiesEngage directly with policymakers, committee staff, and agency officials on key health policy issuesMonitor and analyze policy trends to identify opportunities and risks for clientsCollaborate with attorneys and policy professionals across the firm to provide integrated solutionsBuild coalitions and alliances to advance client priorities in the health policy space Why Join Us?This is a standout opportunity to join a bipartisan team at the forefront of health care and life sciences policy.
