The Gastroenterologist will have an average of 5-8 procedures each day, including up to 5 elective outpatient procedures that require Anesthesia support (not IVCS).Average new inpatient consults per day: 3-6.Strong preference for candidates who perform ERCP.Anesthesia is readily available during the day shift. On weekends, usually two anesthesia teams are available in the morning, and add-on GI cases are in the queue with all other surgical add-ons. IV conscious sedation is available for procedures if required.The physician is responsible for communicating biopsy results for all procedures directly to the patient or routed through the designated clinic MA. Coordination of additional steps including referrals, follow-ups, and additional imaging may be necessary.
