Job DescriptionLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Family Medicine / Hospitalist (Split-Position)Brainerd, MN  PRACTICE SPECIFICS – On the Outpatient Side (roughly half-time)Our ideal candidate would be a flexible team player, looking to maintain a mix of both outpatient and inpatient medicine.We offer a multi-specialty, collaborative team that is focused on working hard and playing hard.  This is a great opportunity, providing work-life balance in one of America's greatest playgrounds. On the Outpatient sideRoughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeksBroad Primary Care PracticeMultispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary servicesClinic site has 5 Family PhysiciansNo OB, but prenatal care is an optionTelephone call 1:26, peds call only16-22 patients per dayThis position is to prepare for anticipated retirements On the Inpatient sideHalf-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month.Day shift, onlyPartner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers.Schedule – 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; rest of the shifts are days.Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support.Total number of physicians in specialty currently in department at practice site: 7.  The practice is fully staffed with 8-9 hospitalists.Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalist, who also share admissions.  Average daily census on unit: 50-60 REQUIREMENTSBoard Certified/Board Eligible - Family Medicine or Internal MedicineCurrent ACLS LOCATIONBrainerd, MN – located at the center of Minnesota125 miles north of Minneapolis/St. PaulBrainerd Lakes Area population: 65,000; Regional service area: 115,000  COMPENSATION$315,700 - $351,000.  Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation. For more information, contact:Eric Bain, Physician Recruiter218-786-8427 (Cell)Email: [email protected] Employee Benefits at Essentia Health:At Essentia Health, we're committed to supporting your well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
