A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family and/or Internal Medicine background to join one of their facilities in Manhattan.About the Opportunity:Setting: OutpatientSpecialty:Community HealthPatient Population: Primary Care (75%) and HIV patients (25%)Patient Volume: 15 to 17 per dayResponsibilities:The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will:Diagnoseand treatacute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditionsPrescribeor administermedications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injuryExplainprocedures and discusstest results or prescribed treatments with patientsMonitorpatients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessaryProvidehealth and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease preventionImmunizepatients against preventable diseasesMaintaindetailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test resultsPerformother duties, as neededQualifications:Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New YorkBoard Eligible / Certified in Family and/or Internal MedicineDesired Skills:Bilingual (English and Spanish)HIV certificationAHHIVM certificationYour privacy is important to us.
