We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine - Hematology & Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in northwestern Wisconsin, near Elk Mound. This long-term assignment is ideal for physicians looking for a balance of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, offering full-time hours and a shared call schedule. Position Overview: Specialty: Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology & OncologySchedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PMOutreach Requirement: Coverage at a nearby facility 2 days per week (schedule TBD)Call Schedule: Shared call, 2 weeks per month (one week at a time)Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, intrathecal chemotherapyTeam Support: Collaborate with a department that includes 3 nurse practitionersTechnology: Cerner EMR and IntelliDose TxM for treatment managementRadiation Oncology Services: Available onsite Patient Care and Responsibilities: Patient Load: 10-15 patients per shiftPractice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient care requiredSupervision: Expected to supervise advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs)Call Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes during on-call shiftsPrivileges: Hospital and surgery center privileges required (temporary privileges available) Requirements: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Hematology/OncologyCertifications: ACLS, BLS, ATLSCredentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days (if file is clean) Perks: Call Coverage: Manageable with shared responsibilitiesTravel & Lodging: Covered as per guidelinesThis is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-supported environment while providing critical oncology services to the local community.If youre interested in this role, apply now using Job ID .
