Physical Medicine and Rehab PhysicianAcclaim Physician Group, a partner with JPS Health Network is seeking a motivated and ambitious physician to join our dynamic PM&R team. As the county hospital system, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. This is a wonderful opportunity for an innovative and passionate individual to treat complex medical issues to those patients that need it most. In addition to the nourishing and rewarding clinical atmosphere, JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs. Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PM&R physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients with a wide range of physical disabilities and impairments. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patients' quality of life through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Provide inpatient consult and outpatient medical management of neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal trauma, deformity or amputation, TBI, Spinal Cord injuries, or other disabling conditions.Perform electrodiagnosis including electromyography, nerve conduction studies, or ultrasound/or neuro-sonography.Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.Oversee and coordinate rehabilitation therapies, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.Manage spasticity/dystonia and other related conditions using a variety of treatment modalities including Botox injections (management of baclofen pumps is optional).Training and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.Educate patients and their families about conditions and rehabilitation processes.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.Participate in research and educational initiatives within the department.Primary Location: JPS HospitalRequired Education and ExperienceMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.Board eligible or Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.Valid medical license in the state of practice.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in a clinical rehabilitation setting is preferred.Preferred Education and ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience highly preferredRequired Licensure/Certification/Specialized TrainingUnrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA certificate.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be comfortable working in a large public/county facilityMust be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty areaMust be knowledgeable of advanced techniques and theories in medicine for primary specialtyMust have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills to work effectively with other health care professionals and serve as a resource to the communityMust be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach programs pertaining to the medical specialty areaMust be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviorLocation Address: 1500 S.
