We are seeking a dedicated locum tenens Psychiatry Physician for a rewarding opportunity in Montana near Hardin. This role is a great fit for a board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist seeking a long-term, ongoing placement with no on-call requirements outside scheduled shifts. This is an inpatient position focused on providing essential care within a psychiatric youth treatment unit. Position Highlights: Location: Montana, near HardinPosition Type: Locum Tenens, ongoingStart Date: January 1, 2025Work Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Shift Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours only; no call during non-business hoursSetting: Inpatient psychiatric youth treatment unit (ages 5-17) Practice Details: Patient Volume: Approximately 8-12 patients per day in the Psychiatric Youth Treatment UnitAdmissions: No emergency department admissions required; may include direct admissions from regional hospitals coordinated by the internal transfer centerHospital Privileges: No surgery center privileges required; however, hospital admissions are expectedSupport Staff: Comprehensive team available; no supervisory or teaching responsibilities for advanced practice providersElectronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner Key Requirements: Board Certification: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry board certification or board eligibility is requiredLicensure: Active MT or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) license preferredCertifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationCredentialing: Expected to take up to 90 days; no temporary privileges availableFacility Level: Trauma Level 1, Pediatric Level 3 Clinical Expertise Needed: Clinical Areas:Treatment for anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disordersSpecialty Skills:Involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) Additional Information: Holidays: Covered during standard U.S. holidays, including New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and ChristmasThis opportunity is ideal for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who is committed to supporting young patients with a variety of mental health needs in an inpatient setting.
