What We Need:We are seeking a passionate Urgent Care Physician with Board Eligibility or Certification in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with recent Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience. The ideal candidate should hold ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications or be willing to obtain them. Comfort with treating patients of all ages is crucial, with an expected volume of approximately 30 patients per day.Ideal Candidate Proficiency:Reading basic x-rays for all body partsLaceration repair and wound careInitial ECG interpretationInterpreting test resultsUrgent evaluation and treatment of potentially critically ill patients, with appropriate transport to the nearest Emergency DepartmentWhat You Can Expect:Open 363 days a year, ensuring consistent and accessible patient careScheduled hours: 35 hours per weekClinic Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m., Saturday Sunday 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.Holiday hours: 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.7 shifts per pay period, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and 10-hour weekend shiftsNo call expectation, providing a balanced work-life scheduleAverage outpatient volume: patients per shiftOn-Site Equipment:EKGPoint of Care Testing (POCT)Hospital Radiation DepartmentCT DepartmentCommon Diagnoses:Abdominal painFluMusculoskeletal pain/injuryShortness of breathUpper respiratory infectionUrinary tract infectionLocation:Near Westville, IN.
