Position: PI Sr. Engineer Location: Raritan NJ 08869 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Job Description: About the role: We are looking for an Senior Aveva OSI PI Engineer to join our OSI team for a site-based project in New Jersey area. The Senior OSIsoft PI Software Engineer needs to have an in-depth experience of Aveva PI Data Historian Systems Control Systems and Process Analysis. The successful candidate should have an extensive background in Software Engineering with experience in systems analysis and software development within the pharmaceutical industry. They should be highly motivated an innovative thinker and self-starter with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Responsibilities: Review and analysis of User Requirements Specification Documents Support development of the Detail Design specifications and system architectures Development of PI Tags Asset Framework (AF) templates and AF Analyses PI Event Frames Development of PI Graphic User Interface / Visuals Support Software development testing commissioning and qualification Ability to provide first line PI sustaining support Support the execution of system changes and optimisation under site change control Aveva PI System Qualification Execution Functions Solid understanding of the Aveva / OSIsoft PI system Experience installing configuring validating and tuning PI Server and interfaces (OPC UFL RDBMS PItoPI). Experience using the PI client tools including PI Vision DataLink and PI RtReports Experience implementing analytic solutions with PI Asset Framework PI AF Analytics and Performance Equations Solid understanding of Windows OS networking and system security fundamentals Analytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approaches to solving difficult problems. Strong MS Word and Excel skills Team oriented but self-sufficient Excellent communication skills and client-facing rapport Non-essential Job Functions Software development experience using disciplined coding and testing regiments. Experience writing software applications and web services using PI-SDK and AF-SDK Experience installing and configuring web-based applications.
