Job DescriptionJob Description Position: Pickle Line Exit Bander    Industry:  Metal Processing JOB FUNCTION:Responsible for operating all controls and coil cars while meeting delivery requirements and quality standards to customer specifications. $19.75/hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Use computer to:Check, read, and respond to e-mail.Log into job.Generate and print additional tags and stickies if necessary.Enter coil observations.Create maintenance reports.Communicate with previous Pickle Line Bander to determine job lineup, sequence number being run, special process instructions, and maintenance issues needing attention.Inspect machinery and related equipment.Check process and packaging instructions for every coil before banding and tagging.Use all banding tools (tensioner, crimper, 2” banding tensioner and crimper, band cutters).Inspect for edge damage, saw tooth laminated edges, bent edges, whiskers, loose wrap, etc.Identify coils under .080 gauge.Distinguish between different types of tags to tag and band samples.Center paper wrap onto coil, neatly apply tape, tag, and mark.  Use oil overspray equipment.Use sample punch and Pickle Exit End Floor Shear.Use Thin Client Manual to view Quality Management System documentation.Change metal banding.Identify and know how to apply different types of packaging supplies (edge & seal protectors, ID rings, stickles & tags, separators, strapping & seals, paper wrap & shroud, paper donuts, skids, 4x4's, skid paper, etc.)All areas must be kept clean and free of slip, trip, and fire hazards. MACHINES AND/OR TOOLS USEDControl boxes for recoiler, coil cars, push off, Pit guards, chains, posts, warning signs, #4 Coil Car (Recoiler Car), #5 Coil Car (Turnstile Car), #6 Coil Car (Deep Pit Car), #7 Coil Car (Shallow Pit Car), #1 Turnstile (Pickle Bay), #2 Turnstile (Slit Bay), Banding tools (Tensioner and Sealer), pen, pencil, band cutter, utility knife, tape measure, various hand tools, pendant hand control, calipers, micrometers, wrenches, pry  bar, control panels, recoiler bolts, airlines and air shut off valves, Scale, Sample punch, Sample Shear, Fire Extinguisher and computer.   REQUIREMENTS:•         Must be willing to work weekends and mandatory overtime.•         Willingness to learn and follow rules.•         Must be able to work in a team and family-oriented environment.•         Math, reading, and comprehension skills.•         Work safely and productively. EDUCATION:•         High school diploma / GED preferred but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:•         Requires (Near/Far/Color/Depth) vision.•         Frequent walking and standing.•         Frequent reaching, gripping, push/pull, and lift/carry activities•         Frequent bending/stooping/crouch/twisting activities.•         Requires lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs. floor to waist.•         Requires lifting up to 55 lbs. waist to shoulder level.•         Requires reaching up to 72”. WORK ENVIORNMENT:•         Working environment with inside ambient temperatures, including excessive heat and cold.#LOW1#ZR
