Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPiezoelectric Ceramic Engineer Job Title: Piezoelectric Ceramic EngineerLocation: State College, PA (On-site)Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000Position Summary:Seeking a motivated Piezoelectric Ceramic Engineer to join an advanced materials team focused on developing, optimizing, and scaling processing techniques for lead-based piezoelectric ceramics. This role bridges R&D and manufacturing, with responsibilities in powder preparation, forming, sintering, electrode integration, and material characterization.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and optimize ceramic processing techniques (e.g., powder synthesis, milling, pressing).- Establish sintering schedules and thermal processing conditions.- Characterize materials and correlate properties with processing parameters.- Conduct microstructural analysis using SEM, EDS, XRD, and particle size tools.- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.- Scale lab processes to pilot and production levels.- Document results and present findings to cross-functional teams.- Apply statistical methods to monitor and optimize production.Qualifications:- BS in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.- Experience in ceramic processing; piezoelectric oxides preferred.- Proficiency in forming methods, thermal processing, and characterization tools.- Familiarity with electrode techniques and ceramic-metal integration.- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.- Experience with Minitab and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.--We are actively interviewing, so please apply today--Benefits- Competitive salary based on experience- Comprehensive health insurance- Retirement savings plan- Paid vacation time- Supportive team culture and positive work-life balance- Opportunities for professional growth - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
