Pipeline Technician at HF Sinclair Corporation

Basic Function HF Sinclair Midstream located in Henderson CO is seeking a Pipeline Technician. This position conducts basic assignments and duties for the Pipeline Department under close supervision.Job Duties (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)Works primarily on pipeline equipment and pump stationsBalances the terminal (i.e. Barrels in/Barrels out)Ensures equipment is operating properly including the specification installation testing and repair of low voltage (480 volts or less) electrical and electronic equipmentCalibrates safety equipmentPerforms quality control checks on the productResponds to upsets and abnormal operating instancesGenerates various reports for daily distributionVerifies compliance with DOT requirementsEnsures operations and safety procedures are followed at all timesRepresents the company to third partiesMay be responsible for dig test one call system monitoring one calls and dispatching to the location as neededSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.Experience A minimum of three years of job-related experience is required.Education Level A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.PREFERRED EDUCATION:A Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.Required Skills Working knowledge of the pipeline industry or related industry. Basic reading and writing skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required. Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and verbal communication.PREFERRED SKILLS:A general familiarization with DOT safety rules and regulations is preferred.Work Conditions Office and field based with up to 10% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery warehouse/plant environment out-of-doors environment and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels tanks rotating equipment and exposure to the risk of electrical shock.
