Total Number of Openings1Chevron Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Pipeliner located in Hanna Utah through November 27th 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (MT).The Pipeliner for the Rockies Team is a general entry level position within the Operations and Maintenance group. Pipeliners can perform work tasks independently and often support Operations Mechanics I&E Techs Facility Inspectors and projects on refined products oil and natural gas pipeline systems.Pipeliners take work direction from the Operations Supervisor coordinate their own work and complete compliance-based tasks while responsible for critical documentation. The Pipeliner must be able to complete and maintain computer-based training which includes OQ Certifications. Pipeliners become HAZWOPER trained and support emergency situations and emergency response when needed.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Perform weekly Operator Routine Duty inspectionsPipeline Operator qualified tasksGauge and sample tanks or witness and verify gauging performed by customersPerform tank gauging and grind outs on oil to check for qualityMonitor and coordinate commodity movements commodity interfaces gauging times and the launching and receiving of pigs and scrapers with system controllers and customer contacts at receipt and delivery pointsMake valve line-up and manifold changesMonitor sample pots adjust sample rates draw samples and perform laboratory tests on samplesInvestigate and resolve over/short situations and balance system inventoriesMaintain meter factor trend data and perform and/or coordinate measurement equipment calibrationsRespond to inquiries regarding leaks line locates and encroachments and take appropriate action to rectifyCoordinate the inspection performance and documentation of facilities compliance checks and track compliance checklistsComplete Managing Safe Work permits & Start Work ChecksIHE / LOTO creation and implementationConduct DOT regulated pipeline maintenance activitiesConduct pipeline locating and marking along ROWsDrain down / blow down pipelines and stationsAssist in meter proving / witnessingAssist and complete valve inspectionsConduct pipeline Right of Way patrols clean-up and pipeline marker maintenanceFlange bolt ups/blind removalsPerform pigging for maintenance on refined product crude oil and natural gas pipelinesExcavation oversiteThis position requires driving on a routine basis and is subject to calloutsThis position is subject to random DOT regulated Drug Testing requirementsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma (or equivalent) is requiredValid drivers license with a history of safe driving practicesDemonstrated knowledge of safe work practicesPhysical ability to perform routine maintenance will be required. Regular bending and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance and approximately 100 pounds with assistance crouching pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges and perform repairsAbility to work rotating shifts to include holidays weekends and night shifts with callout dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in oil & gas facility operations or pipeline operationsKnowledge of oil & gas pipeline operations and machinery preferredKnowledge of safety protocols applicable to oil & gas pipeline operations preferredGood electrical and mechanical aptitudeThorough knowledge of PSM to include the MOC SAP and PHA processesBasic knowledge in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software packagesCommunicates in a clear concise understandable manner both orally and in writingListens carefully and asks questionsSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic and team playerAbility to work alone for extended periods of timeRelocation Options:Relocationwill not beconsidered.International Considerations:Expatriate assignmentswill not beconsidered.AssessmentAs part of the application process you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles.
