The Office of Wildlife exists to provide wise stewardship of Louisianas wildlife and associated habitats and increase wildlife conservation awareness.PLANNER/ ESTIMATOR- OPERATIONS AND OUTREACHThis position will assist the Facility Program within the Office of Wildlife in maintenance and construction of buildings and other land improvements.Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience in the building construction trade or in building construction; ORA bachelors degree in architecture engineering industrial arts or a construction field plus one year of experience in the building construction trade or in building construction.Job Specification The official job specifications for this role as defined by the State Civil Service can be found here.Job Duties and Other Information JOB DUTIESThis position will be responsible for the use of CAD to describe construction/renovation needs and provide cost estimates. This position will create and manage construction documents through the Title 38 process. This position will be responsible for monitoring projects to ensure completion in accordance with State rules/ regulations and complete other duties as assigned.POSITION- SPECIFIC DETAILS:Appointment Type: Job appointment probational appointment promotional or detail to special duty. If filled as a job appointment there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a probational appointment should funding become available.
