We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Planner II for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This role is responsible for planning program material requirements to support production's on time delivery to contract. The Planner II manages material release to production per the master production schedule, in support of work order builds. They also maintain accurate material line of balance to ensure inventory levels support on-time contractual deliveries.Job ResponsibilitiesBased on the MPS driven demand, select and sequence available jobs to be run at specific workstations or machinesMeet weekly with Contracts to review all pending and recently received demands and assign planner responsibility to the appropriate individualManage overall workload and align resources as needed to maintain balanceDrive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project Material EAC's and Execution ChartsImprove current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goalsMaintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basisMaintain the run and set up times associated with each job / product / partCreate and maintain the expected completion of each scheduled jobReview the schedule and ensure the raw materials are available when needed to run according to the scheduleCreate a forward-looking plan to create purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries to support the run schedulesEnsure all outside services are planned and monitoredConsolidate demand for purchase requisitionsHighlight critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPSSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the companyQualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years demonstrated experienceSolid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationshipsStrong background in project material managementExtensive experience in production planningSkilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharepointStrong understanding of MRP systemsThe expected pay scale for this position is$58,466.00/year - $76,006.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
