JOB DESCRIPTION

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to lead financial oversight for a manufacturing operation in Vineland, New Jersey. This role will guide plant-level accounting activities, deliver accurate cost analysis, and support business decisions through timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, standard costing, and month-end close processes, along with the ability to partner effectively with operations leadership.Responsibilities:• Lead plant accounting activities by overseeing cost reporting, financial controls, and analysis tied to manufacturing performance.• Manage the month-end close process for the facility, ensuring financial results are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.• Maintain and refine standard costing methods to improve visibility into product costs, inventory valuation, and production variances.• Analyze manufacturing expenses, labor, material usage, and overhead trends to identify risks and opportunities for operational improvement.• Partner with plant leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making with clear financial insights.• Review inventory-related transactions and reconciliations to help ensure reliable records and strong internal controls.• Investigate cost variances and communicate findings with actionable recommendations to operational and finance stakeholders.• Support process improvements within plant finance activities, including accounting procedures and reporting workflows when needed.Requirements• Proven experience in plant or manufacturing finance with a strong background in cost accounting.• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles, including standard costing and variance analysis.• Hands-on experience managing month-end close activities in a manufacturing environment.• Ability to interpret financial data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Job typePerm
